Europe’s biggest ‘painting-by-numbers’!

The Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich (ORNC) would like to invite you
to help complete Europe’s biggest ‘painting-by-numbers’ to celebrate
Sir James Thornhill’s 340th Anniversary.

PortraitsByNumbers.co.uk is supplying the 2.5m x 1.66m Custom Painting
By Numbers Kit based on their ceiling mural! Drop me a line if you
intend to go and paint :)

Time: 1-4pm

Date: Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 July

Location: Pepys Lawn, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London SE10 9NN

Cost: FREE

Reclaim your lunch break! And help paint a giant 2.5m x 1.66m canvas
made up of over 7,500 spots, mirroring the immense painted hall
ceiling known as ‘The UK’s Sistine Chapel’.

This is not only a record breaking canvas, but your chance to get up
close to the Baroque masterpiece, the biggest painted ceiling in
Britain. Local communities and celebrities are coming together, and we
need you too, to come and help us complete this vast
Painting-by-Numbers canvas in time to celebrate the Anniversary of Sir
James Thornhill with a big media moment and press photo call!

This is your chance to paint history! The painting by numbers project
is a celebration of Sir James Thornhill’s artwork, and will help to
promote the biggest conservation project of the Painted Hall the ORNC
has commissioned since it was built over 300 years ago.

Please let me know if you are interested in getting involved and how
many of you might be coming down on Tuesday and Wednesday so we can
best accommodate.

We really hope you can come and get involved and please get in touch
if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
